McDonald Service Friday
Francis. M McDonald, a former Neillsville-Granton area farmer, died on Monday, June 13, in LaCrosse Lutheran Hospital. A Taylor resident at the time of his death, McDonald was 64.
Funeral services are to be held Friday, June 17, at 11 a.m. from the Gresche Funeral Home in Neillsville. The Rev. Howard Ott of the United Methodist Church is to officiate with burial set for the Neillsville City Cemetery. (Visitation was scheduled for Thursday evening from 5:00 to 9:00 and again on Friday morning until time of services.)
The deceased was born in October 3, 1918, in Champaign, Illinois, to Thomas and Victoria (Webb) McDonald. After his education he farmed in Illinois for several years and then moved to Wisconsin farms in the Sparta area and in Wood County. He then farmed in the Granton and Neillsville areas. About seven years ago, he moved to Taylor.
McDonald was married to Gladys Bishop in Thomasboro, Illinois, ceremonies on January 18, 1941.
Surviving him, besides his wife, are four sons; Larry and David of Neillsville, Robert of Wisconsin Rapids, and Gary of Marshfield; and two daughters (should be two sisters); Kathleen of Phoenix, Arizona, and Mrs. William (Leona) Bermingham Jr., of Rantoul, Illinois. He is also survived by his mother; a brother Thomas, Mt. Vernon, Illinois; and 14 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; a daughter Pamela Kay; a brother Kenneth; and a sister, Ellen.
